At Central Window Systems, we’ve worked diligently to be a pillar of our local community for over 40 years! Since our formation in 1982, our mission has been to supply the best quality fenestration products to installers and homeowners nationwide, helping them achieve safer, warmer homes.
Now, we’re more than proud to continue helping in new and exciting ways and are excited to sponsor Compton Care’s Lord Bilston Big Challenge.
Initially started in 2014 in memory of Lord Bilston Dennis Turner, The Lord Bilston Big Challenge is a bi-yearly fundraising event held for Compton Hospice to help raise money to provide first class care and funding for cancer patients and those with incurable illnesses. This year’s challenge is likely to be the toughest one yet, as the team of challengers will need to cycle 20 miles up the Wrynose Pass and then take on one of the hardest cycle climbs in England, the Harknott Pass.
Once the cycling is smashed, the challengers will need to hike up Scafel Pike, England’s tallest peak! After over 12 miles of hiking, the challengers will leave behind solid ground in favour of paddleboarding 11 miles of England’s largest natural lake. The challenge doesn’t stop there, though, as the team needs to make the hike all the way back if they want to celebrate victory with a well earned warm meal and bed!
